Mark Hoffman
Mark and Carol (“Sport” as he’d call her) moved to Florida. He was always out in his garage watching baseball. He had a coke machine that was filled with beer. When the neighborhood kids would come by with their parents to check out his coke machine they said: “Mark it only gives out beer!”. Mark responded: “Why would you want to drink anything else?”
Matt Yerke (1975-2020)
Matt Yerke grew up at 18132 LakePoint Ln. The house looks a lot different today than when it did when Matt lived there. He lived there with his older sister Mickey and his mom and dad. When Matt lived there it was the standard private wall courtyard the way many of the Bolsa Landmarks did. Check out 6481 Newbury for (sort of?) an example of what they used to look like.
One of the things I’m wondering is if when they redid that house is if they were able to remove all the oil stains in the garage. Matt basically owned that garage and it was full of motor parts, engines, partly assembled gadgets, etc. He would make pipe bombs and hop the wall and try to blow up Edwards hill. (Back when there was steeper and more formidable).
Miss you Matt!
